From its inception, the University of Colombo School of Computing has been able to cater us - the undergraduate population of the institute - in almost all aspects of a university education; yet with one exception. That exception, the void of our own space in the world-wide-web, has been a stumbling block that impeded the sharing and the dissemination of the vast knowledge secluded in individual capacities. It is with the belief that we can reach unimaginable heights with that limitation lifted, that we have laid the foundation for our own place in the infinite cyberspace, named, UCSCLodge.

UCSC currently provides undergraduate education in two separate degree programs, namely, the Bachelor in Computer Science and the Bachelor in Information and Communication Technology degrees. UCSCLodge is designed to provide a platform that spans all academic boundaries and presents a common medium for the UCSC undergraduates to interact equally with their peers in both degree programs. It is our wish that UCSCLodge will serve as the linchpin that binds us all together, the source of our harmonious co-existence and a gateway to a profusion of knowledge among ourselves.

UCSCLodge also embraces past students who have thrived upon the light of UCSC and who are willing to provide guidance and opportunities to their brothers and sisters currently pursuing studies in the UCSC. Thus, UCSCLodge will present an interface to the outside world to communicate with the internal students of the UCSC for mutual gain. In short, it is our modest hope that UCSCLodge will highlight the power of a knowledge-community and the strength of unified prodigies.
